What topics does the course cover?
The course covers a range of topics across 16 lessons, including theory, practical exercises, and the use of templates that you will apply in real-world scenarios. The curriculum is designed to be comprehensive and includes both video and text-based content.
What is the duration of the course?
The course lasts for 3 months, and internship follows right after for another 2 months.
Is the course self-paced or instructor-led?
The executive package of the course is structured as a cohort, where you will learn alongside others with the guidance of instructors. The learning is interactive, and you'll have support through various channels, including a chat group and email.
Are there any prerequisites for enrolling in the course?
Prospective students are required to complete a self-assessment test before being considered for the program. Having experience in leading business operations, marketing, sales, IT or any other field taking on responsibilities is required. This helps ensure that participants have a suitable background or aptitude for the course.
What learning materials are provided?
The executive package of the course provides video lessons, text, and templates that you will use in your practical assignments. These materials are integral to both the learning and practice components of the program.
How is the course structured?
The course is broken down into 22 lessons delivered over 12 weeks, and transitions into the 2 months internship. It combines theoretical learning with practical application through assignments and projects.
How does the internship component work?
As part of the course, you will be matched with a startup or non-profit organization where you can apply the knowledge gained during the course. This practical experience is designed to be concurrent with your studies.
Is the internship guaranteed for all participants?
Yes. Your job is to complete all homework and build the MVP by the end of the cohort with our guidance.
We try to match you with startups that align with the industry where you had experience already. Most internships are unpaid, but sometimes we have paid internships too. The internship boosts your career and has already changed lives of many of our students.
What kind of projects will I work on during the internship?
You will work on projects relevant to product management in the startup where you are placed. These projects are designed to reinforce the concepts learned during the course.
What certification will I receive upon completion?
Upon completing the course and internship, you will receive a certification that recognizes your achievement and the practical experience gained. You need to successfully complete all your homework to gain certification.
Is the certification recognized in the industry?
he certificate is not yet industry recognized, the course is positioned as a cost-effective alternative to more expensive programs, with the added advantage of practical experience.
What kind of student support is available?
Students receive support through a dedicated group channel and email, several working hours offered. Instructors and teaching assistants are available to answer questions and provide guidance.
Who are the instructors for the course?
The course features instructors who are experienced product managers from companies like Ancestry.com, Microsoft, and Capital One. With each semester lecturers may change. Aly Owens is the lead product manager of the program. She has extensive experience building products.
Will I have direct access to instructors or mentors?
You will have access to instructors through communication channels like Whatsapp and email throughout the course. Depending on the package you chose, you will have more or less communication and teachers’ support.
